Quran

Arabic text. The Uthmani script in the Ḥafṣ ʿan ʿĀṣim reading — the recitation used by the overwhelming majority of the Muslim world — sourced from Tanzil.net (public domain, redistributed with attribution).

Translations. Two English editions ship, each used in a different part of the app. The Clear Quran® by Dr. Mustafa Khattab, used with attribution per clearquran.com, is the edition in lessons, surah reading and Muraja'a review. Saheeh International is the meaning shown in recitation practice and Hifz plan sessions. As with any translation, each is an interpretation of meaning; the Arabic text is the Quran itself.

Recitations. Complete ayah-by-ayah recitations, credited to the reciter who gave each one: Shaykh Mishary Rashid al-Afasy, Shaykh Abdul Basit Abdul Samad, Shaykh Mahmoud Khalil al-Husary, Shaykh Mohamed Siddiq al-Minshawy, Shaykh Maher al-Muaiqly, Shaykh Abdul Rahman al-Sudais, and Shaykh Saud al-Shuraim.

Hadith

All hadith are drawn from the canonical Sunni collections — primarily Ṣaḥīḥ al-Bukhārī and Ṣaḥīḥ Muslim, with Sunan Abī Dāwūd, Jāmiʿ at-Tirmidhī, Sunan al-Nasāʾī, Sunan Ibn Mājah, Muwaṭṭaʾ Mālik, 40 Ḥadīth an-Nawawī, and Ḥadīth Qudsī.

We include only narrations authenticated as Ṣaḥīḥ (rigorously authentic) or Ḥasan (sound). Each hadith is shown with its exact collection reference and authenticity grading. We do not use weak (ḍaʿīf) or fabricated narrations, and any disputed grading is clearly labeled.

Essentials

Supplications (duʿāʾ). Authentic supplications from the Quran and Sunnah, cross-referenced with Ḥiṣn al-Muslim (Fortress of the Muslim) by Saʿīd ibn ʿAlī al-Qaḥṭānī — the most widely used contemporary supplication compendium.

The 99 Names of Allah, Tajwīd rules, and core fiqh (the pillars, purification, prayer, fasting, zakāh, and related fard-ʿayn basics) follow mainstream Sunni teaching, grounded in the Quran and Sunnah.

Lesson explanations

The teaching text that surrounds these sources — surah overviews, lesson notes, companion stories, and glossary definitions — is written by the Sabinoor team, drawing on classical works of tafsīr (Quranic exegesis) and sīra (Prophetic biography). These are educational summaries, not the words of any single named scholar.
